Missions

Glen Haven is a mission oriented ministry. We have part in financial support of 106 families in 26 countries and also 12 mission projects. We contribute to missions above our regular tithes and offerings in a program entitled “FAITH PROMISE MISSIONS.” This is an area of service where we trust the Lord for a specific amount every week and give by faith believing Him to supply the funds. God has richly blessed this endeavor for many years. In 2018 our church gave $322,844 to missions and had 3,228 professions of faith from the field. Our motto for this ministry is: “REMAIN FAITHFUL, SO THE FAITHFUL MAY REMAIN”

Team Impact

MISSION STATEMENT: Showing people who God is on the mission field through Love, Service, Labor and Commitment. WHO: Our team is made up of a dynamic group of hard working Christians willing to give long hours to get the job done in the short time they have available on the mission field.
WHAT: Our team assists missionaries in accomplishing various tasks in their area of service with each member using the talents God has given them. Our tasks involve using our hands, minds and hearts.
WHERE: In the past 6 years, our growing team has made yearly trips in January to San Marcos de Colon, Honduras. Our desire is to minister to other countries and in other areas as the Lord leads.
WHEN: Anytime based on need and opportunity.
TEAM MOTTO: DO SOMETHING

Public Servants Breakfast Ministry

One way Glen Haven shows its appreciation for McDonough and the surrounding communities is by holding a quarterly Public Servant’s Breakfast. These take place on Wednesdays at 7:30 am, and Johnny Adkins and his crew offer a free breakfast to all in Public Service in our gymnasium. We want to say “thank you” for all you do for the community.

Homeless Ministry

Tommy and Gale Harris head up our Homeless Ministry and do an amazing job!

They are often in need of clothing donations that can be dropped off at the church. They also are in need of a few more volunteers to join them as they minister at a homeless shelter in downtown Atlanta on the first and third Mondays of the month.
